Why do we do this? Firstly, search engines need to know what your website is about. We’re not going to bore you with all the tech jargon, but this includes adding and optimising title tags, meta tags, heading tags, schema data and sitemap. A sitemap tells a search engine the pages, posts and other content on your website that you wish to have indexed for the world to find.

By installing an SSL certificate, it shows both users and search engines that your website is secure and safe to use. This is shown by the https:// prefix in the URL, rather than the standard http:// prefix. 

Website loading speed is important and should be considered as a part of any web design. Good quality, fast and secure, UK based hosting is essential, which we offer as part of any website design package. However, to meet the strict requirements for Google’s Core Web Vitals, often further optimisation is required. These Google metrics are now a ranking factor, and while the effect is minimal compared to other ranking factors, it is worth getting right from the start. 

As part of further optimisation, we minimise code, compress images, set up caching and page preloading.  

As a part of any of our webs design services, we add links to your social media profiles and pages. Commonly, businesses use Facebook and Instagram, but we can include links to almost any social media network your business uses. Often potential customers seek a company’s social media pages to view reviews or feedback from customers. So, having them readily accessible from your website, header, footer or contact page is beneficial. 

A great way to make it easy for a customer to contact your business, is through a website contact form. These can be placed wherever you like on your website, but generally are found on the contact page. 

Contact forms can be customised to include whichever fields you require to collect the right information from your customer. Typically they include name, contact number, email address and message. Other fields often use include availability for contact, location and nature of enquiry.
