    Our Website Design Process

We follow 6 main steps in our car dealer web design services process. Starting with Ideas; we discuss your business, how your operate and any ideas, designs or features you would like. We then put together an initial homepage layout to show you, and we welcome your feedback! Once you are 100% happy with the initial; design, we get to work creating your new car dealer website. Typically our automotive web design projects are ready within 14 days, although larger websites with additional development or extra features may take longer.

Once we have completed your website design, we begin thoroughly testing it on desktop and mobile devices. We make sure everything loads, displays and reads as it should. Next, it’s time to fully optimise your new website for search engines, making sure the fundamentals of SEO are in place before launch. Once we’re happy everything is perfect, we launch your new car dealer website!

    Car Dealer Website Design Pages

Every car dealer website design project we work on has a similar structure. Much like an ecommerce website, car dealer websites list vehicle stock in the same way that products are listed, but with a custom interface and various other features relevant to your business. A website today must be responsive, easy to navigate and have information readily available for users to find.

    Home Page

The front page of your car sales website . Your chance to make the right first impression and direct customers to the relevant pages or vehicle listings.

    About

Customers like to know who they are buying from. An about page is a great way to educate them about the business and the people behind it.

    Vehicle Categories

While not essential, category pages are a great way to organise your car stock so customers can find a make and model easily.

    Checkout Page

Here your customers complete their purchase, our leave a deposit for a vehicle, with various payment options.

    Contact

Your customers may want to contact you, and having this information readily available is essential. This page can display your contact details, map and social media channels.

    Vehicle Listings

Each car or vehicle you sell has its own web page. These pages have all the information the customer needs; including price, images, vehicle history and description.

    Terms & Conditions

Essential for any business. Display your terms of service, including any shipping and returns information.

    Privacy Policy

Customers must be made aware of how their usage and data is tracked and recorded, including use of cookies.

    Car Dealer Website Features

Each and every car dealer website design project that we complete is designed to be 100% mobile friendly and fully responsive. What does this mean? With the use of mobile devices to search the web soaring, websites need to be able to adapt to whatever screen size they are being viewed on. We test each website on various devices, screen sizes and web browsers before launch.

Most businesses have a business identity, including a logo. We’ll design your website around the style and colours used for this, making your business website instantly recognisable by current clients.

Don’t have a colour scheme for your business? No problem, we’ll help put this together.

Every website needs a domain name, or web address (example.co.uk). Many online web building platforms will provide a free domain name, but usually these are sub-domains and not exclusively branded for your business. (eg. example123.awebsiteplatform.co.uk). This doesn’t give the best impression to your potential customers.

We include a domain name for your business, to properly brand your new business website with a professional identity. On top of this, we provide your own personalised email address (eg. you@example.co.uk). We’ll even talk you through setting it up on your chosen email platform.

So, your new car dealer website is ready to go. But, before you head out to show off your vehicle stock to the world, we’re going to optimise it for search engines

Why do we do this? Firstly, search engines need to know what your website is about. We’re not going to bore you with all the tech jargon, but this includes adding and optimising title tags, meta tags, heading tags, schema data and sitemap. A sitemap tells a search engine the pages, posts and other content on your website that you wish to have indexed for the world to find.

According to Ahrefs, a staggering 90.63% of web pages get ZERO traffic from Google!

We offer specialist SEO Packages, so we know a thing or two about getting websites ranking on search engines. We do strongly recommend ongoing SEO for a new website, to boost your website further up the search results.

A website today must be secure. Data must be encrypted to keep it safe and private from access. By installing an SSL certificate, it shows both users and search engines that your website is secure and safe to use. This is shown by the https:// prefix in the URL, rather than the standard http:// prefix.

Website loading speed is important and should be considered as a part of any web design. Good quality, fast and secure, UK based hosting is essential, which we offer as part of any website design package. However, to meet the strict requirements for Google’s Core Web Vitals, often further optimisation is required. These Google metrics are now a ranking factor, and while the effect is minimal compared to other ranking factors, it is worth getting right from the start.

As part of further optimisation, we minimise code, compress images, set up caching and page preloading.

As a part of any web design, we add links to your social media profiles and pages. Commonly, businesses use Facebook and Instagram, but we can include links to almost any social media network your business uses. These include: Pinterest, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube, Tiktok, Snapchat, Tumblr and many more.

Often potential customers seek a company’s social media pages to view reviews or feedback from customers. So, having them readily accessible from your website, header, footer or contact page is beneficial.

A great way to make it easy for a customer to contact your business to enquire about a vehicle you have for sale, is through a website contact form. These can be placed wherever you like on your website, but generally are found on the contact page.

Contact forms can be customised to include whichever fields you require to collect the right information from your customer. Typically they include name, contact number, email address and message. Other fields often use include availability for contact, location and nature of enquiry. For car dealer websites, it’s a good idea to include fields such as; budget, vehicle interested in, and proposed payment method (ie. cash or finance)

Contact forms are set up so send the submitted contents directly to your email address.

We’re here to answer any questions and any stage of your car dealer website design. If you require help to use certain features, we’re more than happy to help.

Depending on what you would like to do, we can talk you through the process, or create a personalised written guide.

As part of your car dealer website design, we add and optimise your vehicle listings for search engines before launch. Listings include photos, description, specifications and pricing. The amount of vehicle listings added is specified under each web design package.

Buying a car from an unknown business can be daunting, but assuming you have existing reviews on other platforms such as Google and Trustpilot, we can display these on your website to demonstrate your excellent service.

    What our Clients Say

    Frequently Asked Questions

A good car dealer website design makes use of a responsive design, easy to navigate structure and informative, relevant information. Users need to be able to find the information or cars they require as quickly and easily as possible. Users get frustrated with a poorly designed navigation or a slow loading website. These factors are also issues when it comes to ranking your website on search engines, as modern algorithms will reduce the presence of a website that isn’t user friendly.
